7 Brew Rewards: Points, Free Drinks, and What Changed in 2026
7 Brew Rewards is 7 Brew’s free loyalty program. You earn 100 points for every qualifying small, medium, or large drink, and 1,000 points gets you a free drink in any size or flavor. The program changed on August 12, 2026: energy cans and kids-sized drinks no longer earn points, points no longer convert into a free drink automatically, and points now expire after 365 days without a purchase.
If you have been collecting points for a while, that last paragraph is worth reading twice. 7 Brew rebuilt its rewards program the same day it launched its first mobile app, and a few of the changes are easy to miss until they cost you something. Here is how the program works now.
What changed in 7 Brew Rewards in August 2026
Three changes landed on August 12, 2026, alongside the launch of the 7 Brew app.

Energy cans and kids drinks no longer earn points
This is the one that catches people out. 7 Brew Energy cans and kids-sized drinks used to earn points like anything else on the menu. They do not anymore. Only qualifying small, medium, and large drinks count toward your balance.
If you are someone who grabs an energy can on the way past, your points are going to build more slowly than they used to, and nothing in the app will tell you why.
Hitting 1,000 points no longer gives you a free drink automatically
Previously, crossing 1,000 points turned into a free drink on its own. Now you choose. You can redeem 1,000 points for a free drink, or leave the points sitting there and keep building toward merchandise rewards instead.
Neither option is wrong, but the default changed. If you were used to a free drink simply appearing, it will not.
Points and free drinks now expire
7 Brew’s terms now state that points and free drinks expire if there has been no purchase on your rewards account for 365 consecutive days. A full year is generous, and most regulars will never come close to it. Worth knowing if you only visit when you are travelling.
How to join 7 Brew Rewards
Signing up takes about thirty seconds and does not cost anything.

- Get the app or use the website. Download the 7 Brew app from the App Store or Google Play, or sign up at 7brew.com/rewards.
- Sign up with your phone number. 7 Brew describes it as signing up in seconds with no card needed. Your phone number is your account.
- Give your number at the window. Order through the app, or give your phone number when you order at the stand, and the points land on your account.
How 7 Brew points work
The maths is refreshingly simple: 100 points per qualifying drink, 1,000 points for a free one. So a free drink lands roughly every ten visits.

| What you order | Points earned |
|---|---|
| Qualifying small, medium or large drink | 100 points |
| 7 Brew Energy can | None, since August 12, 2026 |
| Kids-sized drink | None, since August 12, 2026 |
| Free drink, any size or flavor | Costs 1,000 points |
Because every qualifying drink earns the same 100 points regardless of price, there is a small strategy here: if you are going to redeem a free drink, redeem it against something expensive. A large specialty drink and a small black coffee both cost you 1,000 points. Have a look at the August featured drinks or the most ordered drinks if you want ideas worth spending points on.
What you can redeem 7 Brew points for
A free drink at 1,000 points is the headline, but it is no longer the only option. As your balance grows, merchandise rewards unlock. 7 Brew currently lists:
- Brew & Chill Mini Fridge
- 7 Originals Letterman Jacket
- Founding Pour T-Shirt, in pink and blue
- Brew Access Baseball Cap
- Coffee Chat Crewneck
- Keychains and other smaller items
7 Brew has not published the exact point threshold for each item. The rewards page says only that additional reward options unlock as you earn more, so the specific numbers appear inside your account rather than on the public page.
How to check your 7 Brew points balance
Two ways, and both show the same balance:
- In the app. Open the Rewards tab. This is the quickest route and also where any available rewards show up.
- On the web. Log in at 7brew.com/rewards with the phone number you signed up with.
If your balance looks wrong shortly after the August app launch, you are not alone. Several members reported points appearing incorrectly during the migration to the new system. If yours still looks off after a few days, 7 Brew’s support page is the place to raise it.
Does 7 Brew give a free birthday drink?
7 Brew lists birthday perks as one of the benefits of joining, alongside free drinks and exclusive offers. What it does not do is publish the specifics; there is no official page stating what the birthday reward is, when it appears, or how long you have to use it.
In practice, adding your date of birth to your rewards profile is what makes you eligible, so it is worth filling in when you sign up. Anything more precise than that is not something 7 Brew has documented publicly, and we would rather tell you that than guess.
7 Brew gift cards
Gift cards are separate from the rewards program, but they come up constantly, so briefly: 7 Brew sells them directly through its own store at shop7brew.com, in denominations including $10 and $25. Buying from the official store is the safest route; gift card resale sites are a common place for problems.
Is 7 Brew Rewards worth joining?
If you go more than once a month, yes. It is free, signing up takes seconds, and a free drink every ten visits is a real return rather than a token one.
The honest caveat is that the August changes made it slightly less generous than it was. Energy cans dropping out of the earning pool matters if that is what you usually order, and the loss of automatic redemption means you have actually to pay attention to your balance now. Still worth it, just not quite the deal it was in July.
